This is a top quality baseball cap for a very good price. The material is heavy duty colors are brilliant and workmanship is excellent. I especially liked the preformed curved bill which gives the cap a worn feel even when new.

Great Hat - but will it will Fade

Great all around hat - I have a 7 1/2 hat size (I know it is a big noggin') and the X-Large hat fits great The hat is made of cotton and is quite cool - I hate wearing wool hats in the summer. One problem with cotton hats is that you will only get about 3 months of wear - after that it will stain and fade.



Other reviewers have mentioned that you can buy this hat at a mall but you will pay considerably more money.

...so err on the side of caution and bump up a size. I generally wear a 7-1/4 sized hat and I ordered a medium according to the size chart. It was so tight I started getting headaches; took a good week before the hat had stretched to a comfortable size. i'm pretty happy with this hat especially how it's soft and not stiff. what i don't like is that it's a little too shallow for an x-large and doesn't come down to my ears. the other thing it's a little tight for an x-large. admittedly i have an x-large head but this thing is still snug. if i ever wash it i think it won't fit any more. my head by the way was 8 3/4 at high school graduation (the last time i measured it).

I run a girl's fastpitch organization of 8 teams from 10U - 16U. We are using this product indoors and it is great for pitching grounders throwing and hitting.



I have since purchased SOFTIE balls for a little less money and my pitchers said that they prefer the Diamond DFX.



Note that Diamond also has a synthetic brand as well. It is a little cheaper but it's cover does not feel as much like leather. I think you could do a mix of the two and let the pitchers use the DFX brand.More detail ...
